At HEALTHeCongregations®, we believe that church congregations can, and should, be places not only of worship, but of healing and health.  We are committed to advancing wellness and wholeness through faith-based solutions – while promoting the faith community as a viable partner in building healthier communities. Our mission is accomplished through what we call the seven core competencies of congregational health:

ducation: We believe that faith congregations can be a “force multiplier” in disseminating information that reinforces healthy living.

lectronic communications technology:
We leverage the power of telehealth (distance learning) and other emerging technologies to promote health awareness and disease prevention.

mpowerment: We engage non-medical, faith-based leaders in improving the health of their faith community members.

ncouragement:  We provide nurturing, support, and coaching to help individuals put into practice what they have learned – and to inspire clergy and congregations to engage in congregational health initiatives.

We help reduce health care disparities by connecting underserved communities with health care resources.

xpertise: We tap into the health expertise of local communities to support. congregations in their journey toward physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness.

We continue to explore new frontiers for healthe congregations, and share our findings with communities worldwide.

By drawing on the synergy of these core competencies, we can help your congregation develop or grow a health ministry and become a change agent in improving the health of your community.
